Sporobolus airoides, commonly known as Alkali Dropseed, is a perennial grass native to North America. It is highly adaptable and can thrive in a wide range of soil types, including alkaline and saline soils. The plant forms attractive clumps of narrow, arching leaves, reaching a mature height of about 2-3 feet. In late summer, it produces airy, open panicles of tiny flowers that turn golden-brown as they mature.
