Vaccinium angustifolium (Lowbush Blueberry)
Vaccinium angustifolium, commonly known as Lowbush Blueberry, is a deciduous shrub that is native to eastern North America. It typically grows to a height of 1-2 feet and spreads by rhizomes to form dense colonies. The leaves are small and ovate, turning a vibrant red in the fall. In the spring, the shrub produces white or pale pink bell-shaped flowers that give way to sweet and flavorful blueberries later in the summer.
