Vaccinium pallidum (Hillside Blueberry)
Vaccinium pallidum, commonly known as Hillside Blueberry, is a deciduous shrub native to eastern North America. It typically grows 2-4 feet tall and forms spreading colonies. The elliptic leaves are green during the growing season and turn reddish-purple in the fall. Hillside Blueberry produces small white to pink flowers in the spring, followed by blue berries that are edible and often used for making jams and pies.
