Vitex negundo, commonly known as Chastetree, is a deciduous shrub or small tree that belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It has a loose open vase-like shape and grows up to 10-20 feet in height. The leaves are palmately compound with five to seven leaflets, and the fragrant flowers are tubular and purple or white in color.
